Chair+Table2

This seven post series was inspired by a table and chairs that I drooled over at Slumberland Furniture for nearly seven months. The new set would have cost me nearly $1000 and I just couldn’t take the leap. Instead, I decided to go for an table and chairs upcycle. Working with this table and chairs was a labor of love, but the total cost was less than $100. Plus, I love the finished product. This was only my second upcycle project! Anyone can do this. I’m a beginner, too. The finished table now resides in my sewing and writing studio. One chair sits by my sewing machine, another at my computer and the other two are nestled around our kitchen table.

Post One: Before

Post Two: Removing Upholstery

Hope you enjoy this series! I love working on this table and chairs and creating the blog series. Please let me know if your begin working on your own project! I would love to see the results.

Hey, I’m Sierra Shea! I am so glad you are here.

Where do I start with writing to introduce this blog? At the beginning, I suppose: I’ve been writing on various platforms online since 2013. I started blogging shortly after moving to South Dakota.

I am a mother and a maker at heart. I’m so grateful to be married to John and mother of three: Joslyn, J.D. and Jesse.

I am a self-taught decorator and designer. I am a brand new shepherdess and a Spiritual Director.

I love living in South Dakota, even though the winters & the wind can be a near-daily struggle.

Blogging is a grounding force in my life and it helps get me out of my head, unstuck and moving in the directions I always hoped I’d be going!
