I joined Noonday Collection as a Brand Ambassador just over 1 year ago, my first items arrived on my birthday in 2019. Noonday Collection is an inspiring business that supports women children in vulnerable communities across the globe. The name of the business comes from this verse:
Isaiah 58:10: “If you spend yourselves in behalf of the hungry and satisfy the needs of the oppressed, then your light will rise in the darkness, and your night will become like the noonday.”
I am deeply inspired by the CEO, Jessica Honegger, and the work she does to promote social entrepreneurship both in the US and abroad. I love that they use fashion to create meaningful opportunities around the world.
Spring’s First Rainbow Quilt: This quilt is brightly colored and I often think of it as the perfect quilt to drape across a chair in the spring or summer months. It’s made with a special type of fabric called batiques, which have a lovely watercolor effect. Paired with the unique rolling squares of the quilt’s design this quilt has a cheerful vibe and is full of movement. This is a large lap quilt and wouldn’t fit on any size of bed, except a small toddler bed.
This quilt is full-sized and does fit nicely on a bed. It features beautiful warm reds and energizing greens. The giant sunflower pattern stands out among all the other smaller floral prints throughout the quilt. This quilt looks lovely on a guest bed and we have enjoyed using it. It was the first quilt I ever made, and it’s a little bit hard to part with! It has been well-loved and it is the softest of all the quilts and has just finally reached that “soft” state you expect when reaching for a quilt on the bed or couch. We also loved to use this quilt on our couch in the summer since it’s nice and lightweight. Two or three people can comfortably share and cuddle with this quilt! Great for forts, too!
I was a member of the Cozy Community during the time that I was focusing heavily on decorating our home after we finished remodeling. The Nester is one of my favorite home teachers on the internet, so I was very excited when she launched her membership community that helps me elevate our decorating know-how easily and without spending a ton of money. I’m not a member currently, but I use everything I learned from The Nester on the daily in our home. If we ever remodel or add on, I’ll join again in a heartbeat!
I believe everyone deserves a little bit of routine & order to their life. During the pandemic, we faced some major life adjustments. As a result, I decided to create my own weekly cleaning schedule. I also added the daily routines I’ve been completing for years. In the past, I cleaned all in one shot. However, I found that while working from home with kids or working from home without kids that didn’t seem necessary anymore. Cleaning for a short break in my regular work day (on the computer) was a great physical and mental break. If I’m home with the kids, I never have a long enough chunk of time to do it all at once! So, a 6-days-a-week routine was born!

If you are young parents with kids under 18 months, I don’t feel comfortable recommending this routine. It’s just too chaotic of a season of life to pull off so much structure. Instead, I recommend this type of daily routine: take your vitamins, take a shower, take a break. Clean out the sinks & pick up the toys every day. Try to ask a nanny or grandparent for help occasionally and clean everything then!
