Grandma’s Modern Garden

Grandma’s Modern Garden

This quilt is hand-quilted and lined with a vintage sheet. It’s the ultimate in softness and sweetness for a little girls first blanket or her first “big girl” room draped across the edge of her bed. Playful placement of the colorful patterns and large hexagon shapes take this vintage garden into a modern space that’s perfect for your little one!

Green & Gray Forever

Green & Gray Forever

This chevron quilt features alternating green and gray stripes with bookends of white and gray patterns to finish off the top and the bottom. It’s styling isn’t “girly girl” at all and is perfect for the girl who loves a soft blanket, but not pinks and purples. Looks darling styled over a chair or at the end of a bed. This is a large lap size quilt and is not large enough to fit on any bed, but it is large enough to drape across the end of a bed. It would be cute styled with a solid white comforter or a bright floral comforter for contrasting patterns. This quilt also features some hand embroidery work that highlights the year that emerald green was the “Pantone Color of the Year”.

John Deere Baby

John Deere Baby

This baby quilt would be perfect for any boy or girl who is coming into this world with a John Deere spoon in his or her hand. It features a very traditional quilt block and I’ve used it as wall decor, across the back of a chair, and in a display cabinet. None of these places suit it’s best use, a baby quilt or play matt — so I hope some sweet child can enjoy this baby quilt! It’s about five more washes away from being really soft and wonderfully broken in overtime.

Spring’s First Rainbow

Spring’s First Rainbow

Spring’s First Rainbow Quilt: This quilt is brightly colored and I often think of it as the perfect quilt to drape across a chair in the spring or summer months. It’s made with a special type of fabric called batiques, which have a lovely watercolor effect. Paired with the unique rolling squares of the quilt’s design this quilt has a cheerful vibe and is full of movement. This is a large lap quilt and wouldn’t fit on any size of bed, except a small toddler bed.

Sweet Sunflowers on the Block

Sweet Sunflowers on the Block

This quilt is full-sized and does fit nicely on a bed. It features beautiful warm reds and energizing greens. The giant sunflower pattern stands out among all the other smaller floral prints throughout the quilt. This quilt looks lovely on a guest bed and we have enjoyed using it. It was the first quilt I ever made, and it’s a little bit hard to part with! It has been well-loved and it is the softest of all the quilts and has just finally reached that “soft” state you expect when reaching for a quilt on the bed or couch. We also loved to use this quilt on our couch in the summer since it’s nice and lightweight. Two or three people can comfortably share and cuddle with this quilt! Great for forts, too!

100% MADE BY HAND

Before Sierra's children were born, she spent her nights and weekends quilting on the farm. All these quilts are made from her first creative work space in the old farmhouse.

QUALITY FABRICS

All Sierra's quilting fabrics are pre-shrunk, pre-washed and made to last for generations!

DURABLE STICHING

Sierra sewed the patchwork portion of each quilt's design and then partnered with professional quilters to put the backing, batting, and top piecework together.

FROM SOUTH DAKOTA

Sierra and John lived in a 100+ year old farmhouse for the first few years of their marriage. They converted the dining room into a sewing and writing studio & Sierra made these quilts there!

How much is shipping?
Quilt orders will also be $5 flat rate per order.
How long will shipping take?
Please expect 5-10 days of shipping, because we use USPS media mail rate which is not as fast (or as expensive) as priority mail shipping.
Is gift wrapping an option?
At this time, no. I have offered that in the past, but it created more hassle than service in my opinion for all parties.
What about sales tax?
At one time, there was no sales tax on commerce orders for businesses located in South Dakota. This is no longer the case, so sales tax will be added to your order based on the address you include for shipping.
