I use Blue Apron in the winter months after Christmas when I start to feel the winter blues pushing down on me. It’s a great comfort each week to have a small set of truly unique meals delivered directly to our house. I don’t serve this food to our kids or, oddly, even to John sometimes. I know it sounds selfish, but it’s been such an easy way to avoid seasonal depression I can’t complain. I do try to order foods that John will enjoy. However, sometimes there’s nothing on the menu he would like, in that case I choose a small 2-person serving size and I just have two meals. It makes for some extra cooking, but again, I’m usually snowed in so it doesn’t matter. I have the time.
I don’t have a link for Blue Apron, but if you’re interested in a free box, email me and I can ship you a box for free. If you don’t like it, simply cancel! If you do like it, hooray!

Hey there... I'm Sierra!
I love to blog, plan, organize, decorate, teach, research & be creative. I’m a farm wife & mama of three kiddos: almost 6, 4 and almost 2. We love to live and work in rural South Dakota. A few years ago we remodeled a house & we call our home The Peacock Ranch.
I am earning a Spiritual Direction Certificate from Sioux Falls Seminary & I put my masters in English/Mass Communications on hold at South Dakota State University so I can focus on being a mama in a pandemic! In the meantime, I’m enjoying reading more & writing here on the blog.
