I’m working on the baby’s nursery. We are now going to have a sewing studio/writing studio/nursery.

Before I tore this room apart and started rearranging, I just wanted to pause and pay tribute to this nice, little space.

I just loved writing & sewing here!

For almost a whole year, this room was all mine! Quilt. Write. Repeat.

Ironically, last year on May 30th — I posted about finishing this room. We had just finished putting up the paneling and getting this room ready to become the office. Here’s my post on that dining room to studio transformation.

I enjoyed having my own studio office for a year!

But, that time is over! Baby is on the way & this room is the most logical nursery. So, me & baby will share.

Good-bye sweet, peaceful office.

Hello sweet, peaceful nursery-writing-and-quilting-studio.

As usual, Pinterest was quite helpful in providing a visual.0ee876c297d33c20cda032a5a3b56e64

Here goes nothing…

It’s so nice having your own space to do whatever you want. I was just thinking about that the other day. Even though I’m at least a year out from trying to have a baby, I’m already paranoid about what I’m going to do with my stuff when it comes time to turn one of the rooms into a nursery. Good luck!

Hey, I’m Sierra Shea! I am so glad you are here.

Where do I start with writing to introduce this blog? At the beginning, I suppose: I’ve been writing on various platforms online since 2013. I started blogging shortly after moving to South Dakota.

I am a mother and a maker at heart. I’m so grateful to be married to John and mother of three: Joslyn, J.D. and Jesse.

I am a self-taught decorator and designer. I am a brand new shepherdess and a Spiritual Director.

I love living in South Dakota, even though the winters & the wind can be a near-daily struggle.

Blogging is a grounding force in my life and it helps get me out of my head, unstuck and moving in the directions I always hoped I’d be going!
