Isn’t finding new things fun?

Two things I’ve been enjoying lately are the TV show on HGTV “Fixer Upper” and all the great inspiring content on Instagram.

So, if you like home remodeling type shows, may I suggest “Fixer Upper”?

They pick out hopeless homes, remodel them, actually stay within budget, and give people a dream home!

I cry at the end every time (partly because I’m pregnant) because it takes some guts to buy these ugly, uninspiring homes & Chip and Joanna make sure their customers are rewarded for their bravery!

It’s fun!

Next up, I used to follow about 95% quilters on Instagrm. However, since I don’t have a sewing room at the moment, I decided to look for some new inspiring content.

Here are screenshots of my recent favs….

And, finally, lately I’ve had more time for quick post on Instagram than longer posts here on my blog. So, here’s my insta account as well!

That’s all for now. Back to folding laundry and watching, you guessed it, Fixer Upper!

Another blog that might interest you is Addicted2decorating The writer makes do with what she has available and works VERY hard to create amazing rooms. She also re-does when something doesn’t work out.

Hey, I’m Sierra Shea! I am so glad you are here.

Where do I start with writing to introduce this blog? At the beginning, I suppose: I’ve been writing on various platforms online since 2013. I started blogging shortly after moving to South Dakota.

I am a mother and a maker at heart. I’m so grateful to be married to John and mother of three: Joslyn, J.D. and Jesse.

I am a self-taught decorator and designer. I am a brand new shepherdess and a Spiritual Director.

I love living in South Dakota, even though the winters & the wind can be a near-daily struggle.

Blogging is a grounding force in my life and it helps get me out of my head, unstuck and moving in the directions I always hoped I’d be going!
