We finished planting our corn, we are waiting on beans and I’m anxious to get started on a garden.

We are waiting on rain before we plant soybeans.

Two years ago this week, I wrote about corn planting in my first Farmin’ Friday post.

I was taking my first lunch to the field for John.

It was a big moment for me.

Last year this week, I wrote about planting the strawberry patch.

We also moved an old shed out of the way and did some spring farm cleaning.

This year, I took lunch to the field and Joslyn rode along with me.

That was a happy moment, too.

I can’t believe it is already my third spring here!

Things change fast!

In case you missed it, earlier this week I posted about our recent trip to Missouri and feeding our bottle calf!

Have a great Mother’s Day Weekend!

Hey, I’m Sierra Shea! I am so glad you are here.

Where do I start with writing to introduce this blog? At the beginning, I suppose: I’ve been writing on various platforms online since 2013. I started blogging shortly after moving to South Dakota.

I am a mother and a maker at heart. I’m so grateful to be married to John and mother of three: Joslyn, J.D. and Jesse.

I am a self-taught decorator and designer. I am a brand new shepherdess and a Spiritual Director.

I love living in South Dakota, even though the winters & the wind can be a near-daily struggle.

Blogging is a grounding force in my life and it helps get me out of my head, unstuck and moving in the directions I always hoped I’d be going!
