Blue Apron

Blue Apron

I use Blue Apron in the winter months after Christmas when I start to feel the winter blues pushing down on me. It’s a great comfort each week to have a small set of truly unique meals delivered directly to our house. I don’t serve this food to our kids or, oddly, even to John sometimes. I know it sounds selfish, but it’s been such an easy way to avoid seasonal depression I can’t complain. I do try to order foods that John will enjoy. However, sometimes there’s nothing on the menu he would like, in that case I choose a small 2-person serving size and I just have two meals. It makes for some extra cooking, but again, I’m usually snowed in so it doesn’t matter. I have the time.

I don’t have a link for Blue Apron, but if you’re interested in a free box, email me and I can ship you a box for free. If you don’t like it, simply cancel! If you do like it, hooray!

BookShop.Org

BookShop.Org

I enjoy the convenience of ordering books from Amazon, but I was recently introduced to BookShop.org and decided to support the platform. They have donated over $5 million to local bookshops. I review books several times a week on Instagram and I add them to my book shop account so that you can order from Book Shop & support a local store while enjoying the convenience of ordering online.

Erin Condren

Erin Condren

I started using Erin Condren planners three years ago. My sister calls me a planner connoisseur because I have tried so many types of high-end planners over the years. I really enjoy using the Erin Condren products because there are many left-friendly products and they are so customizable.

Groove Collaborative

Groove Collaborative

The Nester also actually introduced me to the Groove Collaborative. I was a member for several months when we lived in our first farmhouse, but I eventually let my subscription go while our babies were tiny. I rejoined when I began cleaning again more regularly & working to streamline some of our home routines. Groove offers many natural products & it helps keep our home stocked because of the monthly shipment options. I like that Groove is a B Corporation and they plant trees & offer hard-working products that smell good, too. When members join they generally offer a free Mrs. Meyers Cleaning Kit to get you started! The subscription is easy to manage & helps me not run out of items. My suggestion is to pick a date that your subscription renews so you don’t forget to check what’s coming & eliminate what you don’t need. If extras happen to arrive, they can be stored or make great gifts.

Kiwi Co.

Kiwi Co.

Kiwi Co offers age-appropriate STEM kits that are mailed to your door monthly. I started to subscribe to the kits this spring during the early days of quarantine. Later, I easily paused our kids for the summer months when we aren’t inside as much. We decided to switch our craft kits to the “Atlas kit” as a way to learn more about the world around us! For now, we are sharing one subscription for our whole family. In the winter, I might re-start our subscriptions for the craft kits, too.

Noonday Collection

Noonday Collection

I joined Noonday Collection as a Brand Ambassador just over 1 year ago, my first items arrived on my birthday in 2019. Noonday Collection is an inspiring business that supports women children in vulnerable communities across the globe. The name of the business comes from this verse:

Isaiah 58:10: “If you spend yourselves in behalf of the hungry and satisfy the needs of the oppressed, then your light will rise in the darkness, and your night will become like the noonday.”

I am deeply inspired by the CEO, Jessica Honegger, and the work she does to promote social entrepreneurship both in the US and abroad. I love that they use fashion to create meaningful opportunities around the world.

The Cozy Community

The Cozy Community

I was a member of the Cozy Community during the time that I was focusing heavily on decorating our home after we finished remodeling. The Nester is one of my favorite home teachers on the internet, so I was very excited when she launched her membership community that helps me elevate our decorating know-how easily and without spending a ton of money. I’m not a member currently, but I use everything I learned from The Nester on the daily in our home. If we ever remodel or add on, I’ll join again in a heartbeat!

How much is shipping?

All shipping on books is flat rate, $5 per order. If you order one book or ten, shipping is just $5.

Quilt orders will also be $5 flat rate per order.

How long will shipping take?
Please expect 5-10 days of shipping, because we use USPS media mail rate which is not as fast (or as expensive) as priority mail shipping.
Can I order on Amazon instead?
Well, yes and no. Yes, you can order Wild Man on Amazon. But, no, you cannot order Sheep, Stetsons & Stockyards on Amazon. This is because the first edition, hardbacks of Wild Man are sold out and now we offer paper backs both here and on Amazon. When the Sheep, Stetsons & Stockyards first editions sell out, we will reorder in paperback. At that time, both books will be avalaible on Amazon and the store.
Is gift wrapping an option?
At this time, no. I have offered that in the past, but it created more hassle than service in my opinion for all parties.
What about sales tax?
At one time, there was no sales tax on commerce orders for businesses located in South Dakota. This is no longer the case, so sales tax will be added to your order based on the address you include for shipping.

Hey there... I'm Sierra!

I love to blog, plan, organize, decorate, teach, research & be creative. I’m a farm wife & mama of three kiddos: almost 6, 4 and almost 2. We love to live and work in rural South Dakota. A few years ago we remodeled a house & we call our home The Peacock Ranch.

I am earning a Spiritual Direction Certificate from Sioux Falls Seminary & I put my masters in English/Mass Communications on hold at South Dakota State University so I can focus on being a mama in a pandemic! In the meantime, I’m enjoying reading more & writing here on the blog.
