Schyler recently came to visit us in South Dakota. For one whole week. It was epic. Naturally, she took quite a few pictures while she visited. I wanted to share the photos she took during her trip. This is already the third installment of photos from The Barefoot Photographer. So far, we’ve featured her shots of spring, summer and now her trip to South Dakota! DSCN4126I wrote a teeny, little poem inspired by her photo series. It is intertwined with her collection in place of formal captions. Sometimes, just a few words suffice.

Hey there... I'm Sierra!

I love to blog, plan, organize, decorate, teach, research & be creative. I’m a farm wife & mama of three kiddos: almost 6, 4 and almost 2. We love to live and work in rural South Dakota. A few years ago we remodeled a house & we call our home The Peacock Ranch.

I am earning a Spiritual Direction Certificate from Sioux Falls Seminary & I put my masters in English/Mass Communications on hold at South Dakota State University so I can focus on being a mama in a pandemic! In the meantime, I’m enjoying reading more & writing here on the blog.
