Schyler recently came to visit us in South Dakota. For one whole week. It was epic. Naturally, she took quite a few pictures while she visited. I wanted to share the photos she took during her trip. This is already the third installment of photos from The Barefoot Photographer. So far, we’ve featured her shots of spring, summer and now her trip to South Dakota! I wrote a teeny, little poem inspired by her photo series. It is intertwined with her collection in place of formal captions. Sometimes, just a few words suffice.
A place with big pastures,
sunshine, clouds, wind,hard-worn clothes,
ball caps & leather gloves.
Big barns and teamwork.
Square bales, farmer’s wivesand curious kittens.
Thanks for peekin’ at Schyler’s Scenes from South Dakota & for reading my poem. We loved bringing our creativity together for you!
XOXO, Sierra & Schyler
