Here’s a doodle. I read about drawing my own quilts on another quilter’s blog. Before, it had never crossed my mind that a normal gal could make up her own pattern.

I did this last week. It was very fun!

Each block is different! Wouldn’t this be fun to make?

Happy Mother’s Day!

Great minds think alike…………… Here’s my addition to this post, I buy ‘grid’ paper and drawn mine out, that way I can figure in sizes needed down to the last 1/4 inch, granted I don’t draw them “life sized” but it is fun when you are doing a ‘special’ project and want to keep track of the plan, since for some reason we never seem to get the opportunity to sew an entire top start to finish in one seating. (of course I would be all far getting that chance!) šŸ™‚

Hey, I’m Sierra Shea!Ā I am so glad you are here.Ā

Where do I start with writing to introduce this blog? At the beginning, I suppose: I’ve been writing on various platforms online since 2013. I started blogging shortly after moving to South Dakota.

I am a mother and a maker at heart. I’m so grateful to be married to John and mother of three: Joslyn, J.D. and Jesse.

I am a self-taught decorator and designer. I am a brand new shepherdess and a Spiritual Director.

I love living in South Dakota, even though the winters & the wind can be a near-daily struggle.

Blogging is a grounding force in my life and it helps get me out of my head, unstuck and moving in the directions I always hoped I’d be going!Ā
